Cat Adoption
The Branch has the pleasure of working closely with ‘Cool For Cats’, a boarding cattery in Newton Abbot that also looks after our homeless cats until they are rehomed by the public. Could you give one of them a loving home?

Why are there cats that need rehoming?
Every day the region’s Animal Collection Officers rescue cats that are sick, injured, stray or unwanted. The good news is these animals are nursed back to health and placed in comfortable accommodation ready to be rehomed.
Can I go and see the cats?
Yes, you can go and visit them bewtween the hours of 10.00-12.00 on Thursday & Sunday. There are lots of cats looking for a home – all ages, colours, shapes and sizes!
What is the rehoming process?
If you see a cat you like then you can arrange an appointment with one of our Home Visitors. A Home Visit ensures that you and your cat are compatible with each other; once we’re happy you can give your chosen cat the home it’s looking for, you will be asked to pay a nominal adoption fee. Then you can take your new pet home!
What does the adoption fee cover?
The adoption fee covers the following essential procedures:
- Neutering/Spaying
- Vaccinations
- Worming
- Flea Treatment
- Microchipping

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED
We are looking for volunteers to go and help with the cats. We need people who are willing to keep the pods clean , and then possibly spend time with the cats. If you think you can help please contact the branch office on 01803 556130
Please DO NOT RING the rehoming line. They will not be able to help you, and you may prevent the urgent re homing of a cat.
