It’s on Sunday 28^th March 2010 @ 10.30am

Starting and finishing at The Little Theatre, St Marks Road, Meadfoot, Torquay TQ1 2EL, and taking in Meadfoot beach and the beautiful Ilsham Valley. Approx 2-3 miles.

Parking and toilet facilities are available at The Little Theatre.

Refreshments will be available before and after the walk for a modest cost.

We attended the Scala hall in Brixham on Saturday the 10th of October, where we had a stall selling books and some Christmas goods.

We raised a fair amount of money and the event was well attended.

We would like to thank all who helped on the day and all those who bought something helping us to raise much needed funds for the charity.

Animals in Need Day

on SATURDAY 29th AUGUST 10.00am to 2.00pm

Furrough Cross Church Babbacombe Torquay

We will be having a tombola, only £1 to have a go with a guaranteed prize every time.

There will be lots of other things to do, a  raffle, clothes rail, bric a brac  charity stalls, refreshments and its all indoors

so you are guaranteed to stay dry!!

The next event we will be attending  is the annual Totnes Show always a popular event and always well attended whatever the weather.

It’s on Thursday 30th July , at the venue in  Berry Pomeroy between Paignton and Totnes. It’s always a very well supported show with lots of interest for everyone and we’ll be running our usual stall, £1 a ticket, prize every time, with lots & lots of excellent prizes. As always all the money raised will be used to fund animal welfare in the local area.

One of our Animal Collection Officers ( ACOs )will be  present, so if you want to ask any questions about the work we do, ask about the amazing rescues we get involved in or just find out more about the important work we do within our local area  please just visit our stall and we will be happy to talk to you.

Well the ususal British Summer did us proud for the Newton Abbot Carnival on Saturday 11th July!  Considering the awful weather we were pleasantly surprised by the number of people that came to our stall and we raised a respectable amount of money.

One of our youngest volunteers Phoebe, did a sterling job, going around the crowd, giving out information leaflets and stickers and we’d like to say a Big Thank You to her for that. Lots of people commented that they’d seen our new shop in Newton Abbot, so if you haven’t visited it yet, make it a priority.

We recently  had a wonderful donation of brand new clothing from a local company, some of which were designer labels so get along  there before they’re all gone! Thank you to everyone who took part.

Here are some of the walkers and their dogs with their certificates outside the Clinic after the walk was completed.

We had  great weather for the occasion, nice and warm but without blazing sun. Everyone had a welcome drink  and a biscuit when they got back including  some of the dogs!

We’d like  to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all who took part, including the volunteers that helped with marshalling and tea making.

We raised an AMAZING total of just over £444,  so well done to everyone.

We are holding a Sponsored Dog Walk on Sunday the 28th June 2009 at 6.30pm in Newton Abbot, starting and finishing at the RSPCA Animal Welfare Clinic, at Balls Corner ,Jetty Marsh Road.

There will be an approximate 1 mile walk and an approximate 2 mile walk, going through Jetty Marsh Nature Reserve. The aim is to raise funds for the RSPCA Torquay and South East Devon Branch.

There is free parking  after 6pm in Cricketfield Road car park in Newton Abbot.(Toilet Facilities available there)

No parking  is available at the clinic.

All  are welcome and the route is family friendly with suitability for sturdy wheelchairs and pushchairs.

CALLING ALL DOG OWNERS.!!

Come along on Sunday 29th March to Decoy Country Park in Newton Abbot from 2.00 to 4.00 pm.

Free entry!

There will  be a Fun Family Dog Show at 2.15pm, with classes to include  Dog Most Like It’s Owner, Coolest Trick, Waggiest Tail and Best Manners.

There’s also  a Four Legged Guided Walk (for dogs and their owners) at 3.15pm.

The theme of the day is responsible dog ownership.

We will have RSPCA merchandise you can buy, information leaflets on microchipping and care of animals , and our ACO’s  (Animal Collection Officers) will be there to tell you all about the work we do. They will have some information on some of the rescues that we’ve done and will be there to answer some of your questions.

There will be other charity stalls and children’s craft activity, so come along with your families and your dogs and help to support your local RSPCA.

All money raised stays in the local area.

Many thanks to all those who supported us at the Scala Hall in Brixham on the 18th October.We had a good day with lots of people telling us how much they appreciate all the work we do.

All our shops have now got Christmas cards in so get yours before they all sell out!!

We’ll be attending the Scala Hall in Brixham on Saturday the 18th of October. We’ll have lots of things for you to buy, some Christmas cards and other Christmas goodies (it’s only 11 weeks away now!!). It starts at 10am, so come along and support us and make sure you’re first in the queue!!

Our attendance at the Scarecrow Week event was a very successful one. Lots of people came and the weather was kind to us. We managed to raise over £100 thanks to the generosity of the public.

We’d like to say a big thank you to those of you who attended and supported us. We rely solely on donations so if you couldn’t attend but would like to have donated, please click on the yellow ‘Donate’  button now!

All money generated stays in the local area, serving all TQ postcode areas.

The Dawlish Scarecrow Week is the next event that we’ll be attending. It’s on the lawn on Dawlish seafront on Sunday the 31st of August, and kicks off at 10am. Come and win a prize at our stall, or just chat to our team and tell us all about your pets. Should be a great day out if the weather holds up, but even if it’s raining you can still have fun and support us. Look forward to seeing you there.

Well, the Totnes Show weather did its usual thing and poured down most of the day! Luckily for us there were lots of people who came and supported us by buying a ticket from our stall. We managed to raise £125 for the Branch. Although the weather was bad, the spirit of the occasion was very high, and people were pleased to be able to support us. A picture of our stall will follow in due course.

The Branch will be at the 2008 Totnes & District Agricultural Show on Thursday 31st July 2008.  The show is a great day out for all the family.
