Victorian Evening Update

Posted on 15 December 2010 in Branch Events by Lyn

Our Victorian evening on Wednesday the 8th of December was a very cold but DRY event! Last year it poured down and we all got soaked!

We had two stalls with a tombola on one and goods for sale on the other. On the Tombola stall we had a HUGE snow tiger and several people tried several times to win it, to no avail. Then when we were down to our last few tickets, a gentleman came back who had been trying to win it all evening and said” I’ll just have a couple more goes” and on the third go he won it!!! He was delighted and so were we!

All in all we raised a total of £160.57.

Many thanks to all who bought things from the stall and the Tombola, and thanks to all our Volunteers who helped on the night.

See the Herald Express for that week to see a picture of our Branch Chair, Wendy, on the stall with a customer.

The Flower Festival at St Peters, Shaldon blossomed into a fabulous event. Thanks to the efforts of Branch Trustee Lesley of Flowers by Lesley, wonderfully supported by a hard working team of volunteers. This event, the first at St Peters for 25 years was a wonderful four day experience.
